The hardest part about loving a non-human family member, is that they don't live as long as we want them to. We have to let our Lola go this week and though I know that she is now 15 and has lived a good life, it doesn't make it any easier. We recently discovered that she has a fast growing cancer near her spine and there is nothing that we can do. Blessings to all of you, as we have all lost someone we loved and know the heart-ache that that brings, but also the fond memories that we keep safe in our hearts.
Update: I am missing our Lola very much. There are a few of those that say "she was just a dog", but anyone who knows better...knows better.

Keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water.
